Ingredients of Asian Plum Sauce
- 1 can (12 oz.) plums, drained and pitted, juice reserved
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 4 Tbsp. rice vinegar
- 1 slice ginger
- 1 clove garlic, peeled
- 1⁄2 cup juice from the drained plums
- 1⁄2 cup water
Steps To Make Asian Plum Sauce
In a medium saucepan, bring all the ingredients to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for about 2 hours, or until plums are soft.
Remove ginger and garlic. Process the sauce in a blender or food processor until smooth. Cool and chill in the refrigerator. Use within a few days.
