Gluten free cornflour, for dusting

380g gluten free flour

1 1/2 tablespoons ground ginger

1 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground allspice

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
-
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
-
100g brown sugar
-
150g golden syrup
-
150g unsalted butter, softened and cut into pieces

1 pinch salt
-
1 egg yolk
-
1/2 teaspoons guar gum
Steps To Make Thermomix gluten-free gingerbread house
Method

Step 1Dust silicone gingerbread house moulds lightly with cornflour and set aside.

Step 2Place all gingerbread ingredients into mixing bowl and mix 12 sec/speed 6.

Step 3Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula and knead Dough/50 sec.

Step 4Transfer dough into a large bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Place dough into refrigerator to chill (approx. 1 hour). Clean and dry mixing bowl.

Step 5Preheat oven to 170C.

Step 6Press dough into prepared moulds to fill half way. Bake for 23-25 minutes (170C), until firm. Cooking time will vary slightly depending on the size and shape of your moulds.

Step 7Allow to cool for 2 hours in moulds, then transfer onto a wire rack to cool and firm, before decorating.

Step 8Make Royal icing: Place sugar, egg white and lemon juice into mixing bowl and mix 10 sec/speed 6

Step 9If icing is too thick, add a few more drops of lemon juice or water and mix 3 sec/speed 6 or until desired consistency is achieved.

Step 10Transfer icing into a piping bag and use to assemble and decorate house. You will need a serving plate or cake board to place your house onto.

Step 11Decorate house as desired.
