Ingredients of Sesame snow peas & asparagus

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) salt-reduced soy sauce
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) Massel vegetable liquid stock
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 bunches asparagus, ends trimmed, halved diagonally
  • 200g snow peas, trimmed
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Steps To Make Sesame snow peas & asparagus

Method

  • Step 1
    Heat a small non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add the sesame seeds and cook, stirring, for 1 minute or until aromatic and toasted. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Combine the soy sauce, stock and garlic in a jug. Heat a wok over medium heat. Add the stock mixture and bring to the boil. Add asparagus and stir-fry for 3 minutes. Add the snow peas and stir-fry for a further 3 minutes or until vegetables are bright green and tender. Taste and season with salt.
  • Step 3
    Spoon into a serving bowl. Drizzle with sesame oil and sprinkle with the toasted sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
