Recipe of Sesame chicken and vegetable stir fry

Ingredients of Sesame chicken and vegetable stir fry

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Classic Asian Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon red chilli pepper flakes
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 500g chicken breast, cut into 1cm thin strips
  • 2 medium carrots, peeled and cut into 2mm thin slices on an angle
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 red capsicum, cut into fine julienne
  • 150g snow peas, ends trimmed
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
  • 1 spring onion, cut into 2mm slices

Steps To Make Sesame chicken and vegetable stir fry

Method

  • Step 1
    Mix soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, and chilli pepper flakes in small bowl. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    Meanwhile, heat a large saute pan or wok over a high heat. Once the pan starts to smoke add the olive oil and chicken and cook for 2 minutes stirring or tossing constantly.
  • Step 3
    Add the carrots, ginger and garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Add capsicum and snow peas and continue to cook a further 2-3 minutes while stirring constantly.
  • Step 5
    Add the soy mixture and toss well to mix.
  • Step 6
    Remove from heat and toss in sesame seeds.
  • Step 7
    To serve, divide equally among four serving plates, drizzle any remaining sauce from pan and garnish with spring onions.
