Ingredients of Honey chilli butter-glazed cob loaf
1 round cob loaf
125g butter, chopped, at room temperature
1 tablespoon Capilano Dark & Bold Honey, to drizzle
1 teaspoon dried chilli flakes, plus extra, to serve
2 teaspoons sesame seeds, toasted
Fresh coriander leaves, to serve
Steps To Make Honey chilli butter-glazed cob loaf
Step 1Preheat oven to 200C/180C fan forced. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Use a sharp bread knife to deeply score the bread, making cuts about 3-4cm apart, in a cross-hatch pattern (don’t cut all the way through the bread). Place on the prepared tray.
Step 2Use electric beaters to beat the butter, honey and chilli flakes in a bowl until smooth and well combined. Reserve 2 tablespoons of butter mixture. Spread the remaining butter mixture evenly over the bread and into the cuts.
Step 3Bake for 5-8 minutes or until the butter is melted and bread is crisp. Dot the reserved butter over the top. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, coriander leaves and extra chilli flakes. Drizzle with extra honey. Serve warm.
