Ingredients of Ginger Pear Sorbet
- 3 lbs. ripe pears
- 1 cup water
- 1⁄4 tsp. dried ginger
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 3⁄4 cup sugar
Steps To Make Ginger Pear Sorbet
Peel, core, and chop the pears; place with 1⁄2 cup of the water and the ginger in a medium-sized covered saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 15 to 20 minutes, or until very tender.
Remove pears from heat and add remaining water, lemon juice, and sugar in a food processor and process until smooth. Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
Add to ice cream maker and follow manufacturer’s instructions for freezing.
