  • 180ml (3/4 cup) water
  • 1 Massel chicken style stock cube
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) dry white wine
  • 60g butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons plain flour

Steps To Make White wine sauce

Method

  • Step 1
    Combine water, stock cube and wine.
  • Step 2
    Melt butter in a saucepan, stir in flour gradually forming a roux. Cook for approximately 1 minute.
  • Step 3
    Remove from heat and gradually add all liquid.
  • Step 4
    Return to heat and cook until mixture boils and thickens, stirring continually.
