- 1⁄2 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Steps To Make Applesauce Bread
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9-by-5-by-3-inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, cream the butter until smooth. Gradually add the sugar, beating well. Add the applesauce and mix thoroughly. In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and all the spices. Add the flour mixture to the applesauce mixture. Stir in the raisins and nuts. Spread in the prepared pan.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a knife comes out clean. Let cool on a rack.
